Introduction
Conveniently placed in a quiet, though central, part of Plymouth, our school is within easy reach of Dartmoor and the sea. We are ½ a mile from the main line railway station, 1 mile from the central bus station, 2 miles from the ferry port to France and Spain and 3½ miles from the airport. |

Plymouth College is a forward-looking school with a successful history.
In the classroom we seek to offer a full range of subjects with setting where appropriate. Teaching is based on the National Curriculum but in addition we teach the Classics, and Science is taught as three separate subjects. We aim to combine disciplined teaching with a respect for knowledge and a love of learning.
We are equally proud of our extra curricular achievements, with activities ranging from sports and outward bound to music and drama. Each pupil is encouraged to broaden their horizons and seek new interests and sports. Strong staff pupil relationships are formed in these activities.
As well as day pupils from Plymouth and the surrounding area, we welcome pupils from all over the world including Europe, the Far East, Asia and the Americas. The friendly, family-run boarding houses offer a home from home. Weekend activities for boarders include bowling, ice-skating, cinema trips, horse riding, boat trips, moorland walking and dry-slope skiing.
